Hi, I’m Dr. Dennis Hannon (he/him/his)

Please call me Dennis. I am a licensed psychologist located in the Twin Cities. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship and pre-doctoral internship at Mental Health Systems, and received my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents with severe and complex mental and physical illnesses across various levels of care, spanning from inpatient care units to outpatient individual therapy.

One of my current endeavors is serving as a co-chair of the Minnesota Psychological Association’s Legislative Affairs Committee. In 2022, I was honored and humbled to receive the Minnesota Psychological Association’s Early Career Psychologist Award for making significant contributions to the field and discipline of psychology in the State of Minnesota for my efforts related to advocacy, legislative work, and client care. Also, I supervise practicum students, doctoral interns, and pre-licensed staff members, and have enjoyed working as an adjunct professor teaching Master’s level clinicians as well. My favorite aspect about working in this field is having the privilege to walk with clients on their journey to empower themselves, harness their own resilience, identify their strengths and resources, and create the life in which they want to be present.

Personally, I grew up in the Chicagoland area and moved to Minneapolis for my pre-doctoral internship. I still live in Minneapolis with my family and dog. I love hiking in Minnesota’s state parks, watching soccer, cooking, learning Spanish, and running and biking around the city’s lakes. I look forward to learning more about you in our work together!
