Hi, I’m Ashley Schultz Henricksen, LICSW (she/her/hers)
Being human can be incredibly difficult. When experiencing the harder parts, do you find your inner critic the loudest voice in your head? Thoughts like "I should be able to handle this", "I'm so stupid/lazy/(insert other unkindness)", "other people are so much better than I am" can make us feel worthless, insecure, and miss out on the beautiful parts of being human. I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and difficulty with their self-esteem to overcome these experiences and build a life that is more satisfying and in line with their values.
I aim to provide a nonjudgmental and supportive space for you to identify what you’d like from your life, and how to get there. I work with clients to increase their self compassion, identify their personal strengths, and interact with their environment more effectively. I also help clients learn new coping tools when they want to do things differently.
Our identities impact our interactions with the world and it's important to recognize these truths in therapy. I have experience working with individuals of diverse genders, sexual orientations, racial backgrounds, and religions. If you’re ready to make a change, reach out and let’s work together.
